European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC). I have been working with clients for over 12 years.
People come to me from a wide range of backgrounds and experience, and with some very interesting topics! (see client feedback). I've worked with doctors, office workers, managers, teachers and students amongst others and the main thing I have learned is that you don't need to know everything about someone's job or lifestyle to be able to help them ' often not knowing anything is actually an advantage!
I firmly believe the biggest asset organisations have are their people, and when people support and value each other, everyone benefits including the organisation.
At work, I am the Mentor Champion for my Trust, a role I applied for as it involves training others to be mentors. I also won an award from the mentoring scheme for introducing a more effective way to match mentors with mentees ' think speed dating, and you'll get the gist!
Within the same scheme I was twice nominated for a different award for mentors who "represented the embodiment of mentoring ideals; non-judgmental, reflective, empathic and facilitative".
If you would like to see the statements made by the mentees making the nominations, please click here .
People experience life and express themselves in different ways, so I take up every learning opportunity I can to develop my range of skills and techniques so our sessions can be flexible and adapted to a style that works best for you.
